Neural-THX Surround is breaking sound barriers, taking next generation titles from 5.1 to 7.1 surround. This expansion of the audio experience allows gamers to add two speakers to the rear of their living room for a true 360 degree, interactive gaming experience. When playing a Neural-THX Surround game title, sound elements will be placed in the front, side and rear, enabling gamers to react to audio cues all around them. The result is a more interactive and immersive game-play experience.
Neural-THX Surround technology provides a new approach to surround production and playback, enabling broadcasters to:
- Encode 5.1 content during a live mix or post session
- Transmit the content in a stereo format over existing channels
- Decode the original 5.1 mix through a Neural-THX Surround enabled playback device
