THX Certifies its first ultra short-throw projector, the Formovie Laser Cinema 4K Max

THX is thrilled to announce the Fengmi’s ultra-short throw projector, the Formovie Laser Cinema 4K Max projector, is the first of its kind to obtain THX Certification when used with Fengmi’s Formovie Fabulous 100″ Fresnel Projection Screen.

Ultra short-throw projectors give users the option of a massive screen, without taking up significant space. Because, as “ultra short-throw” would suggest, the device sits at the base of the screen instead of across the room like traditional projection displays.

The result is a movie theater-like experience in the comfort of one’s living room. And since Fengmi’s projector is THX Certified for HD and 4K SDR, owners can rest assured the projector is illuminating their wall-sized display correctly, maintaining crisp detail and accurate colors.

“The L406FCN provides a cinema-like experience with a 100” screen with enough brightness for a number of viewing environments, said Peter Vasay, head of THX Certification. “The Formovie Fabulous 100″ Fresnel Projection Screen is crucial to the success of the projector, and we’re pleased to certify a new product like Fengmi’s ultra short-throw projector so that customers can now have a massive THX Certified picture on their living room wall.”

The Fengmi Formovie Laser Cinema 4K Max projector is available in China starting October 20 on  jd.com, taobao.com, and xiaomiyoupin.com
