The 2018 #DeepNoteChallenge

(WINNER ANNOUNCED!)

Since 1983, one of the most memorable aspects of watching your favorite movie has been hearing the THX Deep Note during the previews. It has fascinated, terrified and mystified audiences for over three decades, and several fans have created videos showing their reaction to the sound, or put their own twist on it by recreating it themselves.

For our 35^th Anniversary, THX wanted to highlight our amazing community of THX Fans by showcasing their reaction videos and creative remixes of the iconic THX Deep Note, originally created by Dr. Andy Moorer.

And he listened! Legendary Digital Audio & Computer Music Engineer Dr. James “Andy” Moorer, creator of the THX Ltd. Deep Note judged and selected the winner of the #THXLtd #DeepNoteChallenge.

All submissions received by Monday, November 26^th at 5pm PST, were considered, and the 2018 winner was announced Friday, November 30th. He received some cool THX Ltd swag and a Razer Nommo Pro!
