THX Ltd. CEO Appointed To CTA’s Distinguished Board Of Industry Leaders
Ty Ahmad-Taylor to Serve Three-Year Term in Advisory Role
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — THX Ltd. and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ today announced the election of Ty Ahmad-Taylor, THX CEO and longtime industry veteran, to the CTA Board of Industry Leaders (BIL) during Innovate! and Celebrate in San Jose – a combined event hosted by CTA and Tech.Co. The BIL is an advisory body composed of a diverse group of industry leaders that serves CTA and its Executive Board, helping to set public policy positions and priorities for association activities. Ahmad-Taylor’s three-year term will begin on January 1, 2017.
Ahmad-Taylor is a veteran of the technology world and a trailblazer in his own right. He joined THX in 2015 to oversee the growth and development of the organization and to expand the company’s reach into new businesses. He was instrumental in the launch of THX Live!, a new live-entertainment certification program that debuted earlier this year with Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour. His career has been dedicated to creating deeply engaging experiences for viewers across various media platforms. Prior to joining THX, Ahmad-Taylor served as the Vice President of Smart TV Services at Samsung, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Product Development at MTV Networks’ Music & Logo Group and was the Senior Director of Interactive Products and UI at Comcast.
