HECATE G2000 BAR Desktop Gaming Soundbar: First Gaming Soundbar to launch with THX® Spatial Audio+

Co-defining AAA Gaming Desktop Audio Experience with HECATE

Amid the growing convergence of esports peripherals and spatial audio technology, the strategic partnership between THX and HECATE — Edifier’s premium esports audio brand — reaches a new milestone with the official launch of the G2000 BAR desktop gaming soundbar.

This marks the debut of THX® Spatial Audio+ in a desktop speaker for a Chinese brand. Far from a straightforward technology licensing, the collaboration is built around the core synergy of THX Spatial Audio+ and HECATE AAA Gaming Acoustic Tuning. with deep joint integration across acoustic architecture, sound tuning and gameplay optimization. THX Spatial Audio+ brings a new level of immersion right to Chinese gamers’ desktops so they experience sounds both above and around them, redefining the benchmark for premium desktop gaming audio.

THX Spatial Audio+: The “Spatial Audio Engine” Built for AAA Blockbusters

For the G2000 BAR, we did not simply enable a generic surround mode. Desktop near-field listening takes place at a distance of only tens of centimeters, with limited separation between left and right channels. The THX and HECATE acoustic teams integrated the THX Spatial Audio+ technology to deliver pinpoint accuracy through real-time rendering and spatial positioning of stereo and multichannel content. This allows gamers to hear audio above and around (for supported content), establishing stable directionality and depth even within the compact space of a desktop.

Specifically, the G2000 BAR features THX Spatial Audio+ which provides added height channels for the full 7.1.4 virtual soundstage listening experience: 7 planar virtual channels create a 360° circular soundstage, 1 dedicated virtual LFE channel amplifies the impact of explosions and rumbles, and 4 virtual height channels complete the vertical dimension. This reconstructs a three-dimensional soundstage with both depth and height on your desktop. Rather than merely boosting volume, it assigns clear spatial coordinates to every in-game sound — allowing you to pinpoint the source of footsteps, the floor of a gunshot, and the trajectory of aircraft flying overhead (for content supporting height channel audio).

Built for AAA Titles: Six Preset Game Audio Modes

More and more of Today’s top AAA games feature height channels to deliver panoramic sound. With THX Spatial Audio+ 7.1.4 channel rendering on the G2000 BAR, gamers gain both immersive enjoyment and a competitive edge, plus a range of built-in game audio presets:

FPS Shooter: Enhanced positional accuracy — hear the enemy before you fire.

Racing & Sports: Amplified engine and vehicle roar — feel the lateral rush when overtaking.

Open World: Preserved ambient immersion and atmospheric presence.

Horror: Layered environmental cues — building maximum tension and suspense.

Hardcore Action: Tactile impact for combos, parries and counterattacks.

Roguelike: Crisp, snappy attack feedback for fast-paced gameplay.

Six presets in total, all accessible with one click via the custom HECATE PC driver.

AAA Atmos Golden Triangle Architecture: Solid Hardware for Superior Soundstage

Advanced THX Spatial Audio algorithms demand capable hardware. Built on the “AAA Atmos Golden Triangle Architecture”, the G2000 BAR unlocks the full potential of THX Spatial Audio+.

It adopts a 2+2 four-driver acoustic setup: dual 56mm full-range high-magnetic drivers with dual magnetic circuits deliver robust output for explosions and rumbles; dual 60mm passive radiators extend low-frequency response; lightweight CCAW voice coils provide ultra-fast transient response, revealing subtle details from footsteps to blade clashes. Paired with a large deep-tuned acoustic enclosure that maximizes air movement, it delivers deeper, more impactful bass.

A full 12W peak power output with independent 9V DC power supply breaks the limits of USB power delivery. During high-dynamic action sequences, there is no under-driving, volume compression or weak bass — sound remains stable and distortion-free even at high volumes.

Clear Voice Communication & All-Scenario Interaction: Completing the Gaming Experience Loop

Hear the battlefield clearly and communicate tactical commands just as clearly.

The HECATE G2000 BAR features a LingYin communication system: a detachable HD microphone paired with 2nd-generation AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) 2.0, combined with a DSP chip, AI noise cancellation and anti-howling technology. Together they eliminate echo from speaker playback back into the mic, enabling clear voice communication even when using speakers.
