Focusview Introduces THX Certified Home Projection Screen

Focusview Logo

At this year’s Guangzhou International Audio Recording Exhibition, Focusview is introducing the Focusview MP series micro-hole transparent sound screen. It is the first Chinese projector screen brand to achieve THX certification.

THX Certification Before the 1980s, many movie theaters encountered problems such as unclear dialogue, loss of sound details, background noise, and picture distortion. This impacted the final product that the film director wanted to express. At that time, George Lucas, the director of the ‘Star Wars’ series, developed the THX cinema certification standard, which later went on to include products for home theaters. Due to the strict certification process and pursuit of quality, THX has become the exclusive and most professional certification standard for commercial cinemas and home theater equipment in the world, providing complete quality specifications and requirements for cinema audio-visual equipment. Best Image and Sound The THX projection screen standard ensures the best image for projection, while also ensuring that the sound of the front channel speakers can pass through the screen without any loss when using the Focusview equalizer. The MP series screen for home cinemas The surface of the MP series screen is coated with a unique process coating, 0.4mm diameter micropores, up to 5% perforation, and clear sound penetration. This creates accurate color reproduction, providing the audience with an excellent viewing experience. The MP series micro-hole transparent sound curtain has the following characteristics to ensure the ultimate picture and sound quality:
  • Ultra-micropores: the industry-leading 0.4mm diameter microporous, which minimize pixel loss, and reduce the viewing distance requirement
  • Perforation rate: 5% perforation rate, up to 42 micropores in the area of 1cm2, each micro-hole mark rule, more than twice the national standard of the movie screen
  • Focusview equalizer with proprietary THX Mode to ensure a clear and transparent sound penetration effect
  • Large size: single frame without stitching screen, the maximum height can reach 3.2m, 2.35:1 scale size up to 320 inches
  • High gain: special process coating technology, accurate restoration of the real effect of the picture, can achieve screen canvas gain of 1.0 ~ 3.0 (THX Certified models have gain up to 1.1)
