Exciting New Partnership Delivers Optimized Audio Quality and THX Certification to Tour Venues Worldwide
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — THX Ltd. has joined forces with Eighth Day Sound to further both companies’ commitment to delivering excellence in audio quality and services. The partnership seeks to improve design, implementation and alignment of audio systems for optimal playback in concert arenas through a premium THX certification program. THX® Live! – which first debuted at Beyoncé’s 2016 Formation World Tour earlier this year – ensures that concert-goers can enjoy a best-in-class acoustic experience in large performance venues.
THX, synonymous with the certification of world-class cinemas and production studios, will work collaboratively with Eighth Day to optimize state-of-the-art audio systems. THX will create a certification reference design for the system architecture and targets for the audio presentation of musical tours. Certification ensures the highest quality audio experiences, revolutionizing live performances as we know them by infusing cinema-quality sound in large concert arenas. For THX Certified performances, concert-goers can expect improvements such as a wider “sweet spot” (more consistent coverage), improvement to vocal quality playback (speech intelligibility, articulation, etc.) and minimal technical issues from any seat in the house – just as the artist intended.
