THX cinema trailers have wowed movie audiences for decades. Some of Hollywood’s greatest sound and visual effects artists have collaborated to produce them. Now, it’s your turn. Put your directing skills to the test with the first ever THX trailer contest.

We’ll provide access to the THX logo and THX Deep Note™ audio effect; you design and produce your own THX trailer. Then, send it to us before May 23, 2006.

The winning submissions will debut on THX.com and receive an exclusive THX Director’s Chair.

Allowed

• Trailer run time must be no less than 25 seconds and no more than 60 seconds.
• Must end with the full screen THX logo (available for download after registration).
• Must incorporate the THX Deep Note audio file (available for download after registration).

Not Allowed

• Unauthorized use of any copyrighted material (artwork, photographs, music, etc.)
• Use of any SAG or other guild actors, performers, crewmembers, writers, etc.
• Use of any musical composition with public performance payment obligations to ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, or any other such organization.
• The presence of any recognizable trademarks or logos other than THX.
• Trailers containing nudity, profanity, explicit sexual themes and/or graphic violence.

Step 1:

Step 2:
Provide your registration information and agree to the license agreement.

Step 3:
Download the Deep Note audio file and THX logo to use in the creation of the THX trailer.

• Include a signed and completed copy of the submission form .
