Advancements to THX cineSpaceTM Suite, Media DirectorTM and New Room Certification Preserve Consistency and Accuracy of Content Creator’s Artistic Vision

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Aug. 19, 2011 – THX Ltd. today announced it will exhibit advancements to its cineSpaceTM Color Management software suite, updates to its Media DirectorTM technology and highlight new critical viewing Room Certification services in Hall Seven, Stand 7.K01 at IBC 2011, the leading global tradeshow for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of broadcasting media and entertainment. THX executives will also preview the announcements at IFA 2011, the world’s largest consumer electronics and home appliance show.

WHAT:

Exhibiting at IBC 2011, THX will reveal the latest product and partner updates to its cineSpace Color Management software, the de facto standard in film and television post-production for image color accuracy and consistency.

THX will also announce the latest collaborations and support from leading chipmakers and CE manufacturers, extending the foundation of the Media Director ecosystem. Additionally, THX will be presenting THX Media Director for professional applications, the goal of which will be to provide content producers and professional facilities the tools to ensure that the artistic intent of content being created will be accurately and efficiently communicated through production and post-production workflows.

Lastly, THX’s new critical viewing Room Certification services are designed to enable post-production facilities to offer the highest quality technical services and ensure content producers can deliver color consistency between facilities.
