THX Unveils New Speaker Concept

At CES 2011, THX is showcasing a number of innovative technologies and product concepts that promise to forever change the face of home audio. Laurie Fincham, THX senior vice president, will demonstrate the concept speaker array technology, an innovative sound solution that creates multiple sweet spots in any home theater by directing unique beams of sound to every seat. The speaker array concept also features an all-analog, THX-designed amplifer, which provides the efficiencies of digital amplifiers with audio quality synonymous with traditional analog solutions.

The result of more than five years of research and development at THX, the concept speaker includes a breakthrough all-analog amplifier and a proprietary steerable line array.
