Position Title: Internship – Engineering Assistant/Junior Technician
Department: Technology Operations
Job Status: Part time, Nonexempt

Work closely with test engineer and test technicians through equipment and room preparation, test station/lab setup, data entry, testing support, equipment maintenance
Assist with equipment intake, product preparation/staging, equipment storage, creating product database entries, and maintaining product testing documentation
Assist with event and tradeshow preparation; locating and packing equipment, verifying operation, gathering interconnect cables, tools and supplies, creating packing lists, arranging shipments
Administrative support; ordering testing lab supplies, acquiring quotes for equipment and parts, preparing purchase orders, filing, document printing, database management
Provide general technical support for department
Additional assignments as required

Current student working towards engineering degree or related field
Familiarity with home theater audio/video systems, wiring, and troubleshooting
Proven interest in acoustics, audio electronics, and/or video technologies preferred
General building/assembly skills using hand tools and other basic shop tools
Experience with Microsoft Excel, MS Word, and FileMaker and/or equivalent database software
Good verbal and written communication skills
Rigorous attention to detail and organization
Unimpaired hearing from 20 Hz to 16 kHz
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Engineering Intern Media Director

Position Title: Media Director Intern
Department: Media Director
Job Status: Part time, Non exempt

Review and prepare audio and video streams for use on DVD, Blu-ray and broadcast masters
Assist with preparation and testing of materials and equipment for demos and trade events
Perform other tasks and projects as assigned

Current student in engineering department, or in Masters program preferred
Current student or recent graduate without work experience studying for a degree in engineering or related field
Experience using Microsoft Office software
Experience with programming in a C#/.NET/Windows framework or Java/Eclipse environment a plus
DVD or Blu-ray authoring a plus
Video/audio editing experience desired
Attention to detail
Strong problem solving and communication skills
